Kati Korosuo, a dancer, choreographer, performer and dance pedagogue. In 2013 She developed a dance method called Dances to a Beat (DTB) and she has been working with it since in various contexts. DTB is both a dance practice and a tool for making instant choreography: the basic idea is to repeat improvised movements to the beat of the music. Over the years she discovered that DTB seems almost equally accessible yet challenging to a multitude of different groups, let it be kids, seniors or professional dancers. Last spring she choreographed to Vocational College Live dance students a remake of a previous group work based on the practice of DTB. The piece is called Them Merphing Live and it will be presented at the INCLUD Inclusive Dance Seminar on Monday the 7th of October. I’m so excited about this opportunity to present this always evolving work that celebrates the uniqueness of each of the performers!

Them Merphing Live is a breath-taking and intense contemporary dance work, where human diversity and surrender to the moment take over the space. A hypnotic and meaning-dense field of being emerges from the thicket of different material worlds. The different nuances of togetherness and the experience of being seen come to the center of the work. Performers are: Kadar Khristan, Miika Luukko, Emmi Mäkelä and Senja Sidoro.
